Members of the École Olds High School Spartans girls' rugby team are still basking in their glory after winning the school's first rugby sevens bronze medal during provincials, held May 31-June 1 in Edmonton. They downed Sturgeon 17-14.

DIDSBURY -- A number of Didsbury Aqua-Jets hit for personal bests at the team's home swim meet on Saturday at the Didsbury Aquatic Centre. Aqua-Jets president and meet manager Monika Rosenke said the meet went very well.

The Sundre Soccer Club’s season is already nearly over, with the year-end barbecue lined up on June 19 followed the next week on June 26 by a fun game of parents versus kids.

DIDSBURY -- Didsbury's own Herman Dorin was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame at a special ceremony in Red Deer on May 31 as a pioneer in wrestling. Dorin, who lives in Didsbury with his wife Shirley, began wrestling in the late 1940s.
