The annual Sundre Curling Club men’s league bonspiel was nearly maxed out with 14 teams comprised of 56 curlers, coming to town to play, said an organizer. “That’s good,” said Roland Weir, adding the club can accommodate only 16 teams.

The Olds High School wrestling team is getting ready for its first tournament of the season. They travel to Wetaskiwin this weekend for a tournament Dec. 7 and 8. So far, 11 students have come out for wrestling practices.

INNISFAIL - The senior boys' and girls' basketball teams at Innisfail High School are ready to start the season. Both teams have been practising for several weeks, since early November, and will begin league play on Wednesday (Dec. 5).
