Olds College Broncos female forward hockey player Abby Webster is surprised that the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) will cease all operations come May 1, after 12 years of existence.

The turnout for the Sundre Curling Club’s annual open bonspiel increased over last year, an organizer said. “We were up four (rinks) from last year,” said Kevin Humphrey, a past president and club volunteer.
