DIDSBURY – Dozens of former students from the 1975 class of Ross Ford Elementary School were back in town for recent 50th anniversary celebrations.
The grads came from across Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan and Ontario, said participant Peggy Good.
“We had such a great turnout of people,” she said.
The anniversary activities included a tour of the school.
“We were the first class in this new school for Grade 1; there was no kindergarten back then,” she said.
“We also toured the Didsbury Museum as many of us attended a Grade 1 and 2 in elementary years here. We had a catered banquet for 82 people.”
The Pre-K to Grade 4 Ross Ford School, located at 2016 - 23 Street, currently has an enrolment of 375 students.
