1948 – 2025
Donna Jeanette Young of Innisfail, Alberta went to be with her Lord and Saviour on May 16, 2025 at the age of 77 years, passing at the Red Deer Hospice with her family by her side.
Donna was born on February 2, 1948 in Estevan, Saskatchewan. She resided in the Estevan area until 1980 when she moved to Alberta with her loving husband William Lewis ‘Lew’ and her children Aleatha and Scott.
Donna was passionate about her family, her horses and her clothing store, “Classic Touch Boutique”. Her strong faith was always evident. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great step-grandmother.
She is survived by her children Aleatha (Ross) Gyori and Scott (Jerilyn) McGill; step daughters, Patricia Smith, Rosanne (Doug) Land, Betty (Andrew) Teal; grandchildren, Derrick and Ashley McGill and Abrielle and Adara Gyori, step grandchildren, Dayna (Jon) Graf, Christopher Smith, Timothy Smith, Ryan Land, Ben Land, Drew (Melissa) Teal, Devin (Tiara) Teal, Braden (Katie) Teal and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lillian Gibson (Cath Scurrah) and her brother Randy Gibson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Donna is predeceased by her loving husband William Lewis ‘Lew’, her son Darren McGill, her brother, Dale Gibson and her parents, Jack and Cornelia Gibson.
A Funeral Service for the late Donna Young will be held at the Innisfail Alliance Church on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with the interment to follow at the Innisfail Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Innisfail Alliance Church following the interment. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to Compassion Canada, 985 Adelaide Street S, London, Ontario, N6E 4A3 or the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4R 3S6.
