1969 – 2025
Mr. Ernest ‘Ernie’ Howard Hinkle of Kevisville, Alberta passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the age of 55 years.
Ernie was born at Innisfail, Alberta on August 13, 1969 and lived in various areas around Alberta as well as Creston, British Columbia, which was his fondest. Ernie had worked many jobs throughout his life, ending with carpentry which he did up until complications with his health would no longer allow it. Camping and kayaking with family were some of his favorite past times, along with playing with his dogs.
He also had a great love for his grandchildren and was very proud of them all. Ernie will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Anita Hinkle of twenty nine years, his son, Mathew Hinkle, his stepson, Travis (Amanda) Mackenzie, his stepdaughter, Alicia Shannon, his six grandchildren, his father, Dale (Jan) Hinkle, and mother, Mary Ferguson. He will also be deeply missed by his brothers, Dave Olsen, Brad (Tara) Hinkle, Kris (Wendy) Olsen, and Danny Hinkle, and his sisters, Sue (Dave) Ross and Kirsten (Mike) Suntjence.
Ernie was predeceased by his infant son, Palmer, his stepfather, Doug Ferguson, and his aunt, Lorna Hinkle.
A Private Family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
