1933– 2025
The family of Margaret Dyer are saddened to announce her passing at the Innisfail Health Centre on Monday, June 9, 2025 at the age of 92 years.
Mom was born in Brooks, Alberta on February 25, 1933, to William and Elizabeth Murdoch. They moved to Innisfail, Alberta when Mom was fifteen years old and it was here where she met Dad.
The two married on December 27, 1950, and were married for almost sixty-three years. They resided between Innisfail and Bowden, Alberta. This was where they raised their four children: Brian, Carol, Cathy and Allan. Over the years, Mom worked at Earl Percy’s Café, Topps Variety Store, Bowden Nursery and Bowden Pharmacy. She was a very active member at the Innisfail Senior’s Drop-In Centre up until she moved into Sunset Manor. Mom also volunteered at the Innisfail Food Bank and the Bowden Thrift Shop.
She was a huge fan of garage sales. We used to tease her about going to sales to buy stuff to put in her garage sale. Mom continued to play a mean game of crib with Cliff Anderson and anyone who challenged her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Brian (Sharon), their children, Cheryl, Trevor (Marcia) and Cameron (Krista), great grandchildren, Breyelle, Lucas, Paige, Lawson and Aubrey, her daughter, Carol, and her daughter, Jennifer (Reynauld), great grandchildren, Alexandre and Matthis. She will also be deeply missed by her son-in-law, Stan, his son Kevin (Carley), great grandchildren, Korben and Soden, her son, Allan (Lori), their children, Samantha (Brett) and Scott (Lynn). Mom was predeceased by her husband, Bob in 2013, her daughter, Cathy in 2020 and just recently her good friend, Cliff Anderson.
Our family would sincerely like to thank the staff at Sunset Manor and home care nurses: Cathy Jorgenson and Jennifer Wood for their care of Mom. We would also like to thank Dr. Chauhan, Dr. Christiansen and Dr. Chacko and the thoughtful and compassionate Nursing Stuff at the Innisfail Health Centre.
In keeping with Mom’s wishes a Funeral Service will not be held.
