April 19, 1965 – May 13, 2025
It is with heavy hearts; we announce that Shelly Doucet entered into rest on May 13 at the age of 60 years in Olds AB.
She is survived by her mother Sharon Kjorsvik, brother Corey, husband Michael and loving children Samantha (Michael) and Dylan (Brittany). She is also survived by mother-in-law Marg Doucet, two stepdaughters Autumm, Miranda and both of their families, many cousins: aunts and uncles.
She was predeceased by her father Allan Kjorsvik, cousins Karen Hindes, Tarak Kjorsvik Osterhout, father-in-Law Ray Doucet and numerous aunts and uncles.
Shelly was born in Olds, grew up there, in Peace River, and Calgary where she finally met her love, Michael Doucet. After the addition of both Dylan and Samantha, they eventually moved to Olds where Shelly was such a proud and devoted mother watching them both grow up into adulthood. Shelly’s next project was to work for the Olds CO-OP for close to 10 years where she so much enjoyed taking the time to chat with all customers and getting to know their connections with families and friends.
Shelly will always be remembered for her outgoing carefree attitude, and outright dedication to all of her family, that she loved with all of her heart. Shelly was a loved daughter, wife, stepmother, mother, and sister to a brother, including a sister to so many cousins, unknowingly making a positive difference in so many lives.
She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts. She did enough, she was enough, and she was good enough. She is loved.
