MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY - Mountain View County has lifted the fire restriction it put in place on May 2, officials said in a release issued Tuesday.
“As of May 13, 2025, due to significant recent rainfall and lower temperatures in the short-term forecast, the fire restriction has been lifted in all of Mountain View County,” chief administrative officer Jeff Holmes.
“The public is urged to exercise caution while burning and use precautionary measures such as screens and spark arrestors on burning barrels, cultivate areas surrounding controlled burns and have a supply of water readily available at all times.”
Fire permits are required year-round and can be obtained on the Mountain View County website at www.mountainviewcounty.com, or by contacting the Mountain View County office at 403-335-3311.
