The Olds College athletic department handed out year-end awards last week for all of its sports teams. Lorelee Grattidge of the women's futsal team was named the female athlete of the year at the college with the top overall grade point average.

One local volunteer will be busy on the links this summer, volunteering for no less than four golf tournaments, including the U.S. Open in June.

Olds College administration is eagerly anticipating a decision on the institution's pending application for the volleyball, soccer and golf teams to join the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference. The decision is expected in May.
