Sundre Minor Ball's bantam girls team placed (update on Monday) in the home provincial tournament over the weekend. It could be the first time in history that Sundre has hosted a bantam girls minor ball provincial tournament.

Grizzlys trade last year's leading scorer
The Olds Grizzlys have traded Matt Marcinew, who led the team in scoring last season, to the Brooks Bandits in exchange for forward Tyson McAllum. McAllum was then dealt to the Grande Prairie Storm for future considerations.

The Innisfail Aquatic Centre was abuzz with activity as the Innisfail Dolphins hosted its annual swim meet this past weekend. Approximately 360 swimmers from eleven visiting teams arrived Friday to compete in this two-day event.

In 2011 the Innisfail Cyclones peewee football team were provincial gold medal champions. The following year they plummeted to last place without a win in the regular season. The bantam Cyclones also failed to pick up a win in the 2012 season.
