It was a heartbreaking weekend for the top seeded Innisfail Indians. The Indians were in Lacombe for the senior mens AA Parkland Baseball League semi-finals tournament Aug. 5 to 7 when they had their playoff hopes dashed.

This team was made up of players from the two community teams that played this year out of Olds. We played in two tiering tournaments which determined that they would play in Tier II provincials, in Spruce Grove from July 22-24.

The Olds Spitfires hosted Baseball Alberta's Pee Wee AA Tier II Provincial Championship over the weekend at O.R. Hedges. Eight teams played in the tournament, including Olds. The Lacombe Dodgers came out as provincial champions.
