INNISFAIL – Classic, old-time, rising and local country artists will take to the stage this week for the Annual Ivan Daines Friends and Heroes Country Music 43rd Pick-Nic.

INNISFAIL – It’s a feast for the senses. The 2nd annual Feast On Main is returning to Innisfail on Aug. 17. The outdoor, long-table gourmet dinner is again raising funds for the local arts community.

COMMUNITY GENEROSITY - ATB has donated $1,000 to the Innisfail Seniors Drop-In Society to be put towards its ongoing building renovation project.

INNISFAIL - Construction on the new million-dollar skatepark is well underway.

PENHOLD – Town officials are once again looking to control the gopher population in the municipality. Earlier this summer, council passed a motion to have administration look into addressing gopher concerns in town.

INNISFAIL – The town’s first soap box derby is in the books. The Innisfail Lions Club hosted the event on Saturday, July 27.

INNISFAIL – The town’s brand new handivan is now on the road. The vehicle is a brand new 2019 StarTrans Senator II model with a 12-passenger or six-wheelchair capacity.

PENHOLD – Sometimes bigger is better. Especially when it refers to a growing community. Town of Penhold officials recently released the 2019 municipal census results which continue the upward trend of recent years.

BOWDEN - There was lots of action during this year’s Bowden Bonanza Daze. The four-day event kicked off with a barrel racing jackpot on July 25, followed by a team roping jackpot and a kickoff party on July 26.

INNISFAIL - Longtime Chinook’s Edge School Division superintendent and chief executive officer Kurt Sacher has renewed his contact with the division until June 2025, officials said.
