INNISFAIL – With a new school year set to begin, academic achievement and learning is at the forefront at both schools and the local library.

INNISFAIL - Escape artists in town are finding their way out better than anybody thought. And they are having plenty of fun doing it.

PENHOLD - From sports and family services to cotton candy it was all there for Penholders. The annual Penhold Discovery Night was held Aug. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Penhold Regional Multiplex.

INNISFAIL - For almost 40 years the Terry Fox Run has been an annual event across Canada and here in Innisfail. The 39th annual Community Terry Fox Run will be held at Centennial Park on Sept. 15, with registration at 12:30 p.m. and the run at 1 p.m.

INNISFAIL - Chinook’s Edge School Division expects to see an increase in enrolment in the 2019-20 school year, officials said.

INNISFAIL - The town wants a local youth to be a voting member on the soon to be up and running Innisfail Policing Committee, with a mission to bring the voices of the community's young to the table on safety needs and priorities for the community.

PENHOLD – The town is preparing for future growth and wants its citizens to have a say. Penhold is looking to update its Municipal Development Plan and is asking for public comments and feedback during an open house from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
