DIDSBURY - The Mountainview Colts lost 4-3 in overtime to north division rivals Sylvan Lake at the Memorial Complex on Friday night.

The Colts goal goals from Cohen Richardson (assist Kai Biggin), Simon Leischner (assists Aidan Saunders and Corbin Rae), and Blake Stoddard (assist Wyatt Bailey).

Colts netminder Jordan McGinnis stopped 38 of 42 shots. The game was hard-fought by both squads.

“The boys came out and fought hard and when down, they fought back,” said head coach Dan Visser. “As a coach it was good to see and gain some confidence, and some consistency.

“We plan to take that right into Three Hills and pull a win out.”

The Colts are back on the road Saturday in Three Hills against the Thrashers.

The Colts 2023-24 Heritage Junior B Hockey League season record now stands at 4-4-2. Forward Haiden Parks leads the team with 16 points.
