Rocky Mountain Motorsports turns over donation money to tornado relief fund

People paid between $40 and $120 for ride-along lapping in high performance cars at facility near Carstairs

CARSTAIRS - Rocky Mountain Motorsports officials presented a $30,122 cheque to Carstairs-Didsbury Tornado Relief Fund Committee members following the July 22 Tornado Relief Fundraiser at the Carstairs-area facility.

Held on July 22, the RMM Tornado Relief Fundraiser attracted about 1,000 people.

The event included ride-along lapping in high performance cars with hundreds of laps made throughout the fine-weather day.

About 320 three-lap rides were taken, with people paying between $40 and $120 depending on the type of automobile.
