CARSTAIRS - About two dozen pickleball enthusiasts took part in National Pickleball Day activities in Carstairs on Aug. 9.
“We (had) great weather and fun times for all,” said Carstairs pickleball club member Alan Loughridge.
Players ranged in age from early 20s to late 70s, he noted.
A racket sport that can be played by individuals or in pairs, pickleball has gained wide-spread support in recent years.
Pickleball Canada has designated the second Saturday of August as National Pickleball Day in Canada, a day to celebrate and promote the sport.
