A nearly $1.5-million multi-phase upgrade to the foundation of 10th Street SW is expected to begin next year.

After more than two years without a sergeant, the Sundre RCMP detachment has filled the position. Sundre RCMP Sgt. Jim Lank comes to Sundre with 27 years of service with the RCMP, and it's not his first time serving the community.

The Sundre Museum wouldn't operate without its volunteers – all 100 of them – according to museum manager Darlene Smee. “Without my volunteers I would get nothing done,” said Smee.

In upcoming budget discussions, council will debate spending $25,000 in 2015 to move the recycling facility to a new location, which has not yet been determined.

The A&W restaurant in Sundre was recently broken into and a small sum of cash was stolen, according to RCMP officers. The incident took place at approximately 2 a.m. on Oct. 29.

During a recent capital planning session, Sundre council voted to consider during upcoming budget deliberations spending $200,000 in 2015 to supply gas to the east side of town.
