Canadian folk-rockers The Lion The Bear The Fox performed at the Sundre Arts Centre on Saturday, Jan. 16. The event was well attended with 91 tickets sold.

On Friday, Feb. 12, police were called to assist emergency medical services with an unresponsive male. He was witnessed collapsing in a ditch on Highway 22 just north of Sundre. Witnesses assisted the male with CPR until emergency services arrived. The 60-year-old male was transported to hospital but unfortunately was declared deceased by natural causes. Police want to thank those who assisted the man with their valiant efforts to keep him alive.

Residents recently got to enjoy a variety of activities at the Sundre Museum during the 11th annual Winterfest, although the weather was more reminiscent of spring.

What started out as a six-week grassroots venture to provide a hand-up to people experiencing hard times has become a full-time initiative for the community.

The Sundre RCMP detachment received 76 calls for service from Feb.

Initiatives rallying support against bullying tend to bring to mind the victims of bullies. An individual, youth or adult, who's being tormented verbally, physically or virtually, understandably would benefit from support and guidance.

Sundre's town council recently had a relatively lengthy discussion regarding whether it should support having a Municipal Area Partnership (MAP) committee, as well as having MAP as a standing item on council's regular agenda.

Many Sundre and area residents who anticipated a comprehensive presentation by Alberta Transportation representatives on potential changes to Main Avenue came away disappointed.
