The Alberta government could also alleviate this problem by improving the access to Medical assistance in dying and the ability to make advanced requests. Provincial governments can create their own framework for Maid now as Quebec has already done and this should be a priority now given the lack of hospice and palliative care.

yes, Barclay's words "many people right now who saying, ’you know what? We just need all levels of government to work together.”
this is not a good example of all levels of government working together?? time for a new mayor and Council and CAO.

Agree, probably time to replace the mayor and fire Becker. or they can wait for McIvor to do it like he did in Chestermere.

not sure what your Council is concerned about. this seems pretty clear to me "his ministry was attempting to better understand municipal-federal agreements in place and that a provincial inventory is being created to document the “scope and scale” of the agreements.
sounds like Innisfail has something to hide, you don't want to follow Chestermere down the road do you? why don't you ask Olds and Didsbury if they got the same request from the Minister instead of creating a lot of useless press about it here!

Hi Dan. just a suggestion related to this commentary, can we see the numbers for local towns, Sundre, Olds, Didsbury. i suspect they are even worse than the rest of the province and all we hear are "sunny ways" from our hospital futures committee and we do have the former AMA president in Sundre and it seems nothing of consequence has happened here since she took on the role. they have supposedly been working on Dr. attraction and retention committees locally foryears now? why no progress? Thanks .

wrong picture. this is Jason Nixon not Jeremy. Jeremy is the Minister responsible for this mandate. Jason is no longer a Minister in the government.

how is it murder when these people want MAID? it is assisted suicide!

another blunder by the government. Savage and Nixon should be fired for this. how can they argue about keystone being climate change friendly after Biden cancels it and the next week introduce more potential coal development ? worst thing for climate change targets. Savage says they are not perfect, how about incompetent.

Well done Mr. Lapalme. You did Administration's work for them. They should have had the bylaw correct in the first place. How many other people have been ripped off for paying a day after a holiday. They just dismissed your argument, and probably many others without even checking the AUC rules and ensuring their process was correct. Not a great reflection of the competence of Nelson and Albert of Sundre Admin. hopefully the Paper prints this too to let other people know of this situation and the Town's poor handling. As you point out, not everyone likes to use online processes when you can pay cash and in person. Many people still like the paper version of this and won't even get this online.
