It was with surprise and disappointment that I read your biased approach in the article, "Skatepark construction finally set to begin," in the July 9, 2019 issue of the Innisfail Province.

I withheld judgment on this new automated waste pickup system until I could see it operating for a few weeks. Now that I’ve seen it I’m not impressed.

With the fresh Alberta government turning the province towards viability, and the Canadian election looming in the fall, much is happening. Many things of consequence are being spoken about and much is being written.

Didsbury suffers repeated pet and vehicle thefts. They are devastating to the families and individuals who suffer these losses. I know some of these people. Theft as a habit in Didsbury starts much smaller and with thieves who are younger.

The fact that five horses had to be put down as a result of the Calgary Stampede's 2019 Rangeland Derby chuckwagon races and another died of a medical condition, is extremely sad. I love animals too. We have a couple of pets of our own.

The Sinclair House now sits on the Innisfail Historical Village museum site, overlooking the length of the grounds. It has a new roof, a combination of old and new siding, and a fresh coat of paint.
