The Uptowne Olds committee will be celebrating the return of summer on June 24 with what organizers are calling Summer Oldstice.

About 100 people turned out Saturday afternoon at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 105 to celebrate 80 years in Olds. The occasion also marked the 70th anniversary of the Legion auxiliary in Olds, which was chartered on May 12, 1941.

Skidsteer stolen from Olds Auction Mart Olds RCMP received a report that a John Deere CT322 bobcat/skidsteer was stolen from the Olds Auction Mart sometime between noon on May 3 and 8:30 a.m. on May 4.

A soldier raised in Carstairs remains missing following his disappearance last Thursday. Master Cpl. Richard Curnow, 25, was last seen participating in a 10-kilometre run with eight fellow soldiers near Emily Murphy Park in Edmonton.
