An Edmonton man is facing several charges following an alleged assault on the Queen Elizabeth II Highway on July 29. RCMP received several 911 calls about a driver assaulting a female passenger near the Bowden overpass at about 5:45 p.m.

Two new pedestrian crossing lights were installed by town crews last week to help pedestrians cross busy roadways in town.

Installation of new water lines in the uptown core was to begin this week, with completion slated for Sept. 10 to 17 if all goes according to plan.
