Rocky Mountain Liquor was hit by an armed robbery May 8 and Olds RCMP are asking for your help to find the suspect. This marks the second time in about four months an armed robbery has occurred there. The last one occurred on Jan. 31.

The two fenders were tangled together, glass scattered across the parking lot. A power pole leaned precariously on one mangled van, lines dangling. The fire department showed up with their Jaws of Life. EMS was on scene with stretchers.

People have started to move in to the new headquarters for Olds Institute (OI), the Olds & District Chamber of Commerce, the visitor information centre and Uptowne Olds. The move-in began around the end of last month.

Olds RCMP are asking for your help to catch two men who tried to steal or break into an automated teller machine (ATM) at the Bowden Reddi Mart. Cpl. Michael Black says the attempt was made on May 2 at about 4:15 a.m.

The second annual PUG (Pick Up Garbage) Day takes place this Friday, (May 12) from 1 to 3 p.m., although residents are welcome to get a head start Thursday evening if they wish. Plans call for a celebration barbecue to follow at around 4 p.m.
