BOWDEN - Recreational hockey teams in Bowden may have to pay up front for ice time. Coun. Kerry Kelm made that suggestion during the town's July 22 council meeting, addressing chief administrative officer Greg Skotheim.

The Olds College Alumni Centre was absolutely packed for a dementia care workshop organized by Sundre's Greenwood Neighbourhood Place (GNP) and facilitated by Teepa Snow, an internationally renowned dementia expert.

The Olds & District Chamber of Commerce is organizing a town hall meeting Aug. 21 at the Olds Legion. Sponsored by the Town of Olds, the tentative theme for the breakfast gathering is Olds is Open for Business. Doors open at 7:30 a.m.

Within the next week or two, all the paving projects in Olds should be completed, according to Scott Chant, the town's director of operations.
