OLDS — Starting on Wednesday, July 23, the Town of Olds' ongoing testing of water pressure at outdoor taps will be conducted in the Lake Ridge and Harrison Green areas.
This work will be undertaken from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
“Technicians will briefly use your outdoor tap to measure water pressure,” a Town of Olds news release says. "The testing is quick, non-invasive, and does not require anyone to enter your home."
“There may be a very brief drop in pressure at the time of testing, but no long-term interruptions are expected.”
During this time, town staff say outdoor taps must be accessible and turned on at the shutoff. Residents are asked to ensure outdoor faucets are in working condition and accessible during the scheduled dates.
Residents are also asked to ensure their gates are unlocked (if necessary) and ensure that pets are kept indoors or away from the test area.
“We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain safe and efficient water service,” the release says.
