OLDS - A collision on Highway 27 near a set of train tracks in Olds Wednesday has disrupted traffic resulting in heavy delays into the evening.
“Due to a traffic collision with the crossing signals at Highway 27 and 50 Street in Olds, there will be added congestion and delays as crews work to remove debris and restore services,” a 6:40 p.m. Aug. 27 post from the Town of Olds warned.
“East and westbound traffic on Highway 27 are impacted. Turning north and south may be limited as a result of the closures.”
Partial and full road closures will occur for the next several hours, the municipality warned and recommended that using alternate routes during that time.
“Olds residents are asked to please avoid this area at this time to help reduce congestion.”
