1938 - 2025
Johanna Steegstra passed away peacefully at Seasons Encore on August 23rd,2025. She was born on January 9th,1938 in Westernijkerk {Friesland], The Netherlands and moved with her husband and family to Canada in 1982. Johanna will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her welcoming smile, warm heart and countless memories will live on in all of us. Johanna will be forever remembered by sons; Andries [Cathy], Henk [Tietie], Oene, daughters; Jacoba [Rob] Mackie, Tina [Kirk] Rutley, Jenny [Mike] Deraaf, Frida [Hendrik] Vandijk; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Heartland Funeral Services on September 9th ,2025 at 1 pm.
Johanna’s family wish to sincerely thank all the staff and doctors in acute care at the Olds Hospital in Olds. Thank you to all the staff at Seasons Encore for the kind and loving care you have given to Johanna over the past 4 years.
A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Heartland Funeral Service Chapel, Olds at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
