August 26, 1936 – August 9, 2025
Kenneth Ray Johnson went peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour, at the Olds Hospital on August 9, 2025, at the age of 88.
Ken was born August 26, 1936, in Calgary, AB. to Fred and Mary Johnson. He accepted the Lord as his Saviour late in life with the help of his niece JoAnn Geiger and her friend Mary.
On August 30, 1986, Ken married Linda Ruth Sayer. They both worked in Calgary, AB. until they moved to Olds, AB. on October 31, 1991, were they spent the remainder of his life.
Ken left home at the young age of 15, to travel Alberta and B.C. with a company putting on Thrill Seeking Performances. He later went on, to do surveying in lower B.C. before he came back to Calgary. Over the years he succeeded in many things, including work for the construction company that did the ground work for McMahon Stadium and the Willow Park Golf Course, then went on to tile work, before moving on to the Alberta Motor Association, where he worked for 10 years as a tow truck driver and supervisor before starting his own business selling art and rodeo type items at many mall kiosks in the winter and rodeo's and art shows in the summer.
After Linda retired, they went to Lake Havana, Az. for about 10 years, until Covid hit.
Ken leaves to mourn his loving wife Linda, of Olds; son Kenny in Calgary, and numerous nephews and nieces.
He is predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary; brothers, Walter (Roy), Ronald, David, Robert (Bobby), and sister Zona. At Ken's wished a private graveside service will be held for the immediate family, on August 20, 2025.
