1965 – 2025
Byron Cameron Bristow passed away at the Red Deer Hospice, Sunday August 17, 2025 at the age of 60 years.
He was born on March 12, 1965, to John and Delta Bristow and he was the youngest of five children. Byron excelled at any sport he chose to play. He was a naturally strong skater and had a promising hockey career cut short by a knee injury. Byron headed out like many young Albertans into a career in the Oil and Gas Industry. He gained employment as a gas plant operator, crossed over into field operations obtaining a journeyman Red Seal Pipefitter. Byron then elevated his skills as a construction supervisor, Safety Coordinator and onto Quality Control Manager.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and having many great trips with his dad and brothers. Byron is lovingly remembered by his son, Dillon, his brothers, Geoffrey, Ron, Doug and his sister, Carol Ann. A special thanks to Samantha, Nikki and Brent, giving support to Byron as he battled.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Delta Bristow, and his infant daughter, Karee Rae.
Many thanks to the Red Deer Hospice for providing such compassion and care to Byron in his final days. In keeping with Byron’s wishes a Funeral Service will not be held.
