A second wildfire to the west of the one near Water Valley sprung up Wednesday in the MD of Bighorn

MD of Bighorn wildfire in an area of mostly grazing and pasture lands with a scattering of ranches, farms and acreages

Mountain View County, Red Deer County and most of the urban centres within their geographical boundaries are included in tornado watch

Anyone seeking permission to enter area due to livestock assistance or to access oil and gas sites asked to call MD

Ban imposed as MD of Bighorn wildfire west of Water Valley may require additional support amid continuing dry conditions

Road blocks have been established by RCMP on Highway 579, Highway 40, and at the Burnt Timber Gas Plant.

Unaffected Mountain View County providing Tuesday’s wildfire evacuees help

"There is an out-of-control wildfire approximately 25 kilometres west of Water Valley. All persons in the area closure need to evacuate immediately."
