There were 28 students in grades 7 and 8 from River Valley School who participated in the cross-country zones, in Canmore on Oct. 9.

The Olds High School Spartans football team earned two more victories last week over the Chestermere High School Cowboys and the Brooks Composite High School Buffaloes. The Spartans beat the Cowboys 27-0 on Oct.

The Olds Grizzlys split a pair of games last week, winning 2-1 in one game and losing 2-1 in another in Alberta Junior Hockey League play. The Grizzlys beat the Calgary Mustangs on Oct.

Both the Olds College soccer teams lost a pair of games on the weekend. The women lost 3-1 on Oct.

The volleyball season at Sundre High School (SHS) is well underway, with three active teams this year. There is a junior varsity girls team, a senior girls team and a senior boys team.
