Colton Goller of Olds, who skipped the Alberta team in the national junior men's championships in B.C. last month is now trying to figure out his curling future.

INNISFAIL - Innisfail's Gerrit Handford and his team, the Olds AA Bantam Grizzlys, took top spot in a recent major tournament. The Grizzlys won the 2017 Pomeroy Inns & Suites Bantam AA Classic in Olds from Jan. 27 to 29.

Despite not reaching the result Team Chyz hoped for during the recent Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts provincials event, the rink overall had a good season, said former Sundre curler Rebecca Konschuh.

The Alberta junior men's curling team, which features two brothers from Olds, finished the championship round of the Canadian Junior Men's championship with a record of 2-5.

It was another tough week and weekend for Olds College Broncos teams. On Jan. 26, the Broncos women's hockey team was edged 3-2 in overtime by the SAIT Trojans at the Sportsplex.

Organizers say tickets are going fast for Honky Tonk & Hockey Talk, a fundraiser for the Olds Grizzlys and Innisfail Eagles hockey teams.
