Five Mountain View County youth rodeo athletes are scheduled to compete in the 2017 Rodeo's Future Championships in Edmonton next month. They are Court Nugent, Regan Tebb, Reese Wilson, Cayden Cyrankeiwic and Jayce McKean.

CARSTAIRS - Lance Colby is pleased to be re-elected (unofficially) as mayor of Carstairs for a fourth term with a very familiar council. Colby told the Gazette there are a number of issues that council would like to continue working on.
