The fire ban in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area has been lifted.
“All existing fire bans in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area have been removed,” reads part of a statement dated just after 2 p.m. on June 18.
“Although there are no fire restrictions in effect at this time, safe burning practices should always be followed.”
Any outdoor fires must be managed responsibly and everyone is reminded to be cautious, especially when conditions are dry or windy.
The wildfire danger in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area was rated moderate as of the time of the latest update.
“Rain is expected in the coming days, which may help further reduce the wildfire risk,” provincial officials said in the release.
“However, wildfires can still start, especially in areas that haven’t received much rain or during windy conditions. Please continue to use caution with outdoor fires and do your part to help prevent wildfires.”
