INNISFAIL – Volunteers have always made a difference in a community. The Town of Innisfail made sure that difference was appreciated as it led the celebration for its local volunteers during National Volunteer Week April 15 to 21.

INNISFAIL – Don’t give up in the fight against cancer. That’s a message Ella Johnson wants people to hear. “I think the biggest thing is that people need to know that we can survive cancer,” said Johnson. “I wish to help women know you can win this.

INNISFAIL – The community will gather Friday to remember Dez Lorencz and show support for his family. Following the sudden passing of Lorencz on April 2, friends, family and former colleagues came together to help his family in their time of need.

INNISFAIL - Mayor Jim Romane's cellphone beeps. It's time for his medication. "My granddaughter Dallas has set it up on my cellphone so I get four reminders in a day," he said. The 72-year-old mayor takes eight pills a day.

INNISFAIL – It’s ministering with a purpose. Rev. Sarah Fanning arrived in Innisfail in January to temporarily take over the reigns at Innisfail United Church, from Rev. Margaret Lang, who retired after 16 years as church minister.
