The province says all but two of the new cases of the highly contagious disease are in southern Alberta, the area that has seen about 70 per cent of all cases.

The province will be investing $8.5 million this year into the Housing Benefit for Survivors of Gender-Based Violence. This program helps survivors of gender-based violence find a safe and stable home while they work to rebuild their lives.
