Leland Warburton has unofficially broken a world record at just 11-years-old. The Bonnyville youth solved a Rubik’s cube while operating a hover board in 19 seconds, besting the current world record of 30 seconds.

In a statement, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he expects Simon to help the country confront difficult truths about the past and walk the shared path of reconciliation.

But the province is still negotiating for national child-care funding similar to programs recently announced in Nova Scotia and B.C.

The report made 108 recommendations, ranging from using prescribed burns for prevention to closing the spending gap between wildfire response and mitigation efforts of planning, preparedness, and prevention. As of July 6, the B.C. government said it has implemented 99 of the recommendations.

“Those eligible will include but are not limited to interpreters who worked with the Canadian Forces during the combat mission, locally engaged staff currently or previously employed at the Canadian Embassy and their families.”

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, his Alberta counterpart Jason Kenney, and the governors of North Dakota, Montana, and Idaho have written the heads of their two countries to ask for the move. 

Daniel Walders, 39, has been charged with 11 counts of assault, four counts of sexual assault, and two of uttering threats.

The Opposition NDP said there have been bed closures, cancelled surgeries, or shuttered emergency rooms in communities across the province, including: Edson, Grande Prairie, Rocky Mountain House, Cold Lake, Lac La Biche, High Prairie, Slave Lake, Wainwright, Lacombe, Barrhead and Edmonton.

Police said the man had been dropped off in the park on July 7 for a solo trek and was reported overdue when he failed to meet up as planned. 

“The reputation I have built up over the course of three decades of service to my country has been irreparably tarnished by the decision to announce publicly an investigation into my alleged conduct,” the affidavit read, “exacerbated by the fact that the announcement lacked the context that the investigation relates to a single allegation of misconduct dating back over 30 years.”
