SUNDRE - The Court of King’s Bench trial for a 34-year-old Sundre woman facing sex charges involving a male youth will take place in January, court officials confirmed.

Alexa Marie Suitor is charged with sexual assault of a person under 16, sexual interference with a person under 16, and making sexually explicit material available to a child.

Suitor was charged in April 2024 after police launched an investigation allegedly involving a volunteer board member with the Sundre Minor Hockey Association.

Suitor’s jury trial has been scheduled for Jan. 19-23, 2026 in Calgary Court of King’s Bench. Jury selection will take place on Jan. 15 and a pre-trial conference will be held on Nov. 17, 2025.

Crown prosecutor Ron Simenik told the Albertan charges originally laid against the accused involving three other male youth complainants have been withdrawn, with the accused entering into peace bonds in each of those cases.

The alleged victim cannot be identified.
