Sundre High School 2016 graduate Kiki Landsbergen was recently presented with the Governor General’s Bronze Medal Award during the annual academic awards night, held Friday, Sept. 30. Landsbergen is pictured here with Tyler Jesse, vice-principal, left, Lissa Steele, associate superintendent, and Scott Saunders, principal. Saige Jackson was awarded the Premier’s Citizenship award, while Keyanna St. Dennis and Brianna Braybrook were named senior high and Grade 9 Students of the Year, respectively. More than 120 current and former students were honoured for their scholastic achievements from the 2016-17 school year. Staff members and representatives from a variety of local organizations presented honour roll scrolls, subject awards, scholarships and special awards throughout the ceremony. More than $40,000 worth of scholarships, awards and bursaries were handed out.
