River Valley School student Megan Weiss, Grade 8, was among the numerous hands that helped unload and stack cases of oranges and grapefruits for the school’s annual fundraiser. More than 1,600 cases were sold – roughly as many as last year – generating a profit of approximately $20,000. The funds will be allocated to various projects that assist students along their path of learning, said principal Leslie Cooper-Shand, expressing gratitude for everyone who got involved to make this year’s sale so successful.
