Letter: Amazing community steps up

Reader hopes to continue in his recovery process so he can have the opportunity to give back to this amazing community
opinion

I want to dedicate these words to thank all the health personnel who saved my life a few months ago.

On Feb. 7, I had a heart attack and thanks to the quick response of those who work in the emergency room at the Olds Hospital and Care Centre, today I have the possibility of staying alive.

I want to thank Dr. Kelly and the people who were working in the ER that day, as well as the paramedics who transferred me in the Ambulance 1 (3616) under the best conditions to a hospital in Calgary, whose names unfortunately I do not remember.

I also thank all the people who in one way or another made me feel their support, coworkers at OCCI, people from different churches, teachers and workers from Olds Elementary School who, through prayers, messages and support with food, gave me more strength to continue fighting for my life.

I hope to continue in my recovery process so I can have the opportunity to give back to this amazing community.

Juan Ramos,

Olds
