OLDS — The Town of Olds' outdoor water tap pressure testing program continues.
From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, that testing of outdoor taps at residential properties will be undertaken in Wigham Close, Coutts Close and Winter Drive to Briegel Road.
Technicians will briefly use outdoor taps to measure water pressure.
Property owners are asked to ensure their outdoor faucets are in working condition and accessible by unlocking gates or fences if necessary to provide access to the outdoor tap.
“The testing is quick, non-invasive, and does not require anyone to enter your home,” a news release says.
It warns that there may be “a very brief drop in pressure at the time of testing,” but adds that “no long-term interruptions are expected.”
Residents are asked to ensure that their pets are kept indoors and away from the test area.
“We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain safe and efficient water service,” the news release says.
