OLDS – The Olds Grizzlys have traded a pair of players for player development fees, officials said in a release.

Esteban Labelle, 19, was sent to the St. Jerome Panthers. A native of Mirabel, Québec, Labelle played 39 games with Grizzlys in the 2024-25 season, scoring five goals and garnering nine points, along with 98 penalty minutes.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League Grizzlys also sent forward Phoenix Flett to the Drumheller Dragons. The 18-year-old forward played 17 games with a pair of assists and 49 penalty minutes.

Player development fees are cash paid to the trading team, in this case the Grizzlys. The team did not say the amount of player development fees paid for Labelle and Flett.

“The Grizzlys thank both Esteban and Phoenix for their contributions to the team and wished them well in their futures," the team said in the release.
