OLDS — The Town of Olds is doing more testing of water pressure in outdoor taps on residential and industrial properties, starting Aug. 20.
From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., that work will be ongoing in the following locations until the work is completed:
• Imperial Way
• Imperial Road
• Imperial Close
• Keown Close
• Erhart Close
• 57 Street to Briegel Road
• Briegel Road
• Ware Close
• Ulry Close
In order to undertake the work, municipal staff ask that outdoor taps be accessible and turned on at the shutoff. Property owners are asked to make sure gates and/or fences are unlocked, if necessary.
Residents and businesses are also asked to ensure outdoor faucets are in working condition and accessible during the scheduled dates.
“The testing is quick, non-invasive, and does not require anyone to enter your home or building,” a Town of Olds news release says. “There may be a very brief drop in pressure at the time of testing, but no long-term interruptions are expected.”
Property owners affected are also asked to make sure pets are secured indoors or away from the test area.
“We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain safe and efficient water service,” the release says.
