Young Canadians open Oceania Rugby U20s Challenge with 44-20 win over Samoa

NADI — Scrum half Stephen Webb scored two tries to help Canada open the 2025 Oceania Rugby U20s Challenge with a 44-20 win over Samoa on Wednesday.

Liam Kinghorn, Cole Harris, Josh McIndoe, Jimmy Leach and Morgan Di Nardo also scored tries for Canada at King Charles Park.

Kinghorn kicked a penalty, and Kohl Kletke booted three conversions.

Canada led 18-17 at halftime.

Di Nardo scored Canada’s final try of the game, intercepting the ball in Canada’s end and running the full length of the field to score.

The young Canadians host Fiji on Sunday before closing out the tournament against Tonga on June 6.
