A thunderstorm moving through Mountain View County Monday may bring heavy rain, wind or hail.

MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY - Meteorologists are tracking a thunderstorm west of Bearberry in Mountain View County Monday evening as the area continues under a severe thunderstorm watch.

“This thunderstorm is located 40 km  west of Bearberry and is moving 35 km/h to the southeast. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury,” Environment and Climate Change’s 5:41 p.m. weather alert said for Clearwater County near Ya Ha Tinda.

The area was upgraded to a thunderstorm watch from a warning.

“Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.”
