Innisfail team one of three 2025 Alberta Interclub Championship winners

INNISFAIL - Innisfail Golf Club members hit and chipped their way to a 2025 Alberta Interclub Championship win at Kananaskis Country Golf Course on Tuesday.

Representing their home club, Erin Kirkness, Marg Williscroft, Elayne Shiffner and Michelle Spivik teamed up for a 16-under par total to win Alberta Golf’s Low Net Championship Sept. 2.

Forty-six men’s and women’s teams took to the 36-hole layout of Mount Lorette and Mount Kidd for the 2025 Alberta Interclub Championship.

When it was all over, the province’s sport organization for golf announced two other championship winners.

On the women’s side, Country Hills Golf Club defended its title with the team of Meaghan Leblanc, Victoria Tse, Joan Wilson and Amanada Chan posting seven-under par for the victory.

The men’s division had five teams within one stroke of the title, according to Alberta Golf’s results. The Winston Golf Club, represented by Garett Johnson, Shane Abel, Trevor Martensson and Christian Chivilo, finished 10-under par for the tight victory.
