EDMONTON — An Edmonton woman has been charged with assaulting five children at a daycare east of the city.

RCMP say officers were called earlier this year about the alleged assaults at the Emerald Park Daycare in Sherwood Park.

They say five children between the ages of five and eight are believed to have been assaulted over two weeks in March and April.

Mounties say none of the children were injured enough to require medical attention.

The 21-year-old woman faces five counts of assault.

She has been released and is scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park provincial court in July.
